Introducing Fitness Monday

Two months into Resolution 2014, I’ve decided it’s time to change things up a bit. I’m moving my resolution check-in from weekly to monthly, and I’m starting a new series here on Beyond Toast: Fitness Monday, where we’ll talk about overall fitness. Not just physical fitness, like exercise and eating well, but mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness – because we’re not just bodies alone, we’re a whole package, and overall fitness is more than physical health.

We’re going to be talking about all kinds of things – exercise and eating right, for sure. You may see a healthy recipe post every so often on Fitness Monday. But we’ll also be talking about our relationships with our bodies, cultural issues that affect our overall wellness, and the other things we can do to maintain our mental, emotional, and spiritual health – like reading, cultivating healthy relationships, and seeking balance.
