Episode 15: The Relatable Homeschoolers Talk Homeschool Math
We’re Talking Homeschool Math
In this week’s episode of The Relatable Homeschoolers, we’re talking homeschool math. Math seems to be the subject parents worry about the most.
There are several different ways to tackle homeschool math, and we discuss many of them. We talk about different math curriculums we use, and Annie shares why she doesn’t use a formal math curriculum in the early years.
We share the many ways we incorporate math into our daily lives, like playing Yahtzee and other card games and baking. Additionally, we use technology and online math games and drills to help in certain math areas.
The great thing about homeschool math is that it builds on itself, and you don’t need to stay at your grade level. When you are able to move on, you can move on.
If math is a subject area you struggle with or feel insecure about teaching, this episode is for you. No matter how you approach teaching homeschool math to your kids, you will glean some insight in this episode.
