Episode 7: A Look Inside Heather Gerwing’s Homeschool
Hi friends! In today’s episode, you will get to learn a little bit more about Heather Gerwing’s homeschool. We will be sprinkling these Snapshot episodes throughout our seasons for you to get to know us a little bit better. It’s sometimes hard in a regular episode to dig deep into any one of our homeschools, so our hope with these snapshots is that you can know more about each of us personally.
Before you listen, I thought I would share a bit more history about myself. I was born and raised in South Jersey (because it really should be two separate states) and moved to MI to marry my husband 16 years ago. I grew up going to the beach regularly, and I feel at home next to an ocean.
After graduating from public school, I attended our local community college for two years, obtaining my Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice. Afterward, I transferred to a state college, Rowan University, and graduated from there with my bachelor’s in criminal justice. I’ve worked for a local police department, private investigative company, and my last job before moving to MI, I was a Probation Officer.
Life as a mom has changed me, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love being a mom to my four kids, and most days, I love homeschooling them.
