This weekly sewing class teaches all the basics: reading patterns, using a sewing machine, basic stitches, and more. Equipment is provided; the student provides his/her own fabric and notions. Ages 8 and up. The $50 registration fee includes workbook and all patterns. The class is 15 weeks, late August through early December. Tuition is $25/class ($100/month), payable weekly, monthly, or at the start of the semester.

Description
- Sewing Levels 1 and 2 teach basic skills using the Kids Can Sew Curriculum.
- New students will start at the beginning; continuing students can pick up where they left off.
- The $50 registration fee, paid at time of registration, covers the student’s workbook and patterns.
- Tuition is $25/class, payable weekly, monthly, or in full at the start of the semester.
- Classes are held weekly with the exception of dates as outlined in the Class Schedule.
- All sewing classes are for ages 8-18.
- No prior sewing experience is necessary.
- Students will be supplied with patterns and instructions for 8 or 9 projects, depending on their level of experience. Each student will have access to a machine and tools (scissors, pins, etc.) during class. Students must supply all fabric and notions for their projects.
- This is a drop-off activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during class time.
