Resolution 2014: Week 2 Check-in
Week 2 of getting back to basics is over, and I’m pretty pleased with the results. I ate well for the most part, logging most of my meals on the My Fitness Pal app. I completed three training runs toward my 5K goal, as well as two sessions of cross-training, and (bonus!) running is already getting easier and faster! This is a major tangible result for me. Woot!
I didn’t get in as much strength training as I would have liked, but the fact that I worked out five days out of seven this week is still progress toward a lasting workout habit. And – I’ve lost a pound. That’s encouragement as well.
My accountability group ends in a couple of weeks, so I’m thinking about forming one of my own, a long-term group that will last the rest of the year. A place where you can set your own individual goals (not just weight loss goals, but habit-forming goals), check in to report progress – successes as well as challenges – and get daily encouragement and support. There will be no cost of any kind attached. If you’d be interested in joining me, send me a message on Facebook or leave a comment below. I’ll get in touch.
